Why use Acting Spot to shoot my headshots?

What should I bring to my shoot?
You should bring 10-15 different outfits so we have a lot of options to choose from. The more you bring the better. Bring a variety of types of clothing: (2-3 sporty looks, 2-3 Saturday at home casual looks, a sweater, a jacket, a sweatshirt, a hoodie, jeans, etc.)
Bring hair gel/product, a brush or comb, and girls should bring any headbands or hair items you use. Please read our headshot guideline section of our website for more detailed information.
How do I prepare for my shoot?
Please get a good nights rest make sure that all your wardrobe is ironed and on hangers. For more information please read the headshot guidelines.

What happens if it rains on my shoot date?
If it looks like it is going to rain we will contact you to put you on stand-by and tell you what the chances are of cancellation. The first shoot of the day is generally at 10:00 AM so if you are the first shoot and have not heard from us by 9:00 AM to cancel your shoot, assume it is on. If you have any doubt call Matt Wallace at 310-913-3569 (ONLY IN EMERGENCIES) since the office does not open till 9:45 AM and you may need to talk to him in this rare situation on the cell phone.
How long does the picture process take?
It will take between 3-4 weeks from your shoot day to receive your printed headshots from the lab. If extensive retouching needs to be done the process could take up to 5 weeks. The process becomes slow when you do not pay the photo lab. They will not begin printing of any tests or pictures until you pay them.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. In order to get the sibling discount, all siblings must shoot on the same day. Please email Matt to coordinate sibling discount.
What if I miss my photo shoot?

How do I get copies of my picture?
A CD of the entire shoot will be available for you 10 business days after the photo shoot in the "Client Pickup" box at the front of the office. Additional printed headshots can be ordered through the photo lab.
Where are my pics?
If 2 weeks have past and you haven't received an email from the photo lab requesting payment for processing, then give us a call. If 2 weeks have passed since you paid the photo lab, and you haven't heard from Acting Spot or the photo lab, then call us.
